    Sit in a comfortable position

    Once you feel that you're ready for self self-hypnosis, rest yourself in a comfortable position. You can either take a nap with hands and legs wide spread or sit in a convenient chair or among the bushes. Close your eyes avoiding distraction. Release all your muscles and take deep breaths really slowly. You can even imagine a lovely landscape to avoid diversion of thoughts. This will give time for you to relax the mind entirely. If you are stretching out among the bushes be sure not to find yourself in sleep.

    Interact with subconscious mind

    Success of self hypnosis lies at this stage. A person with fully relaxed mind can benefit from the subconscious mind and program it in a desired manner. In this deep tranquil trance state say the statements you wish to convey your subconscious head. Frame small statements like I should overcome doubts, I should improve my confidence levels and do it again them slowly as you breathe in and out. Do not say them loudly it could actually wake you up in the trance state. Choose the language and wording of your convenience. Just keep these simple. The slow repetition of the words will also avoid getting yourself into sleep.

    Slowly retract from the trance state

    As soon as you feel satisfied, stop repeating the statements and just concentrate on the breathing. Slowly ascend the mind to the normal state and next open your eyes.

    Analyze the success of the session

    Sometimes you may fall asleep in the middle of self hypnosis training. In such cases, consider changing the resting position. If you aren't able to concentrate try to discover the cause for distraction. It would be the surrounding noise, your need to attend the natures call etc. Next time take appropriate steps and avoid the disturbances.

    Help it become a habit

    To view observable change in the behavior or the lifestyle, practice self hypnosis on a regular basis. At least thrice every week is recommended.
