  I purchased this tv after the lot of research - Determine if you can find the Amazon pricing (got it for less than $1,000 + free postage via Prime; right now listed for $1,299),TCL LE55FHDF3300ZTA Best Price, Sony KDL46EX640 Best Price which is sweet.
  
  Pros: Nice picture, easy controls, sleek design, no 3-D (yes, I consider which a plus).
  
  Cons: Quality of sound with the built-in speakers, only one TOSLINK (optical cable) port for connecting to the receiver, as well as the stand is flimsy. It must be secured behind end to prevent TV from tipping over. LG offers a location inside the stand base the location where the stand might be screwed to your table top, provided you would like to drill an opening with your table top. I mounted it for a wall so tipping over is just not a worry personally.
