This is the link to the online project by Hans Rosling and others. Gapminder promotes a fact based world view by unveiling the beauty of statistics. I thought I could use it with a Year 10 RED class studying social justice issues relevant to the Millennium Development Goals.

Hans Rosling's new insights on poverty | Video on TED.com - 0 views

IN Time Magazine (April 27, 2009) I came across an article "Logging On to the Ivy League: Why top-tier universities are racing to give the public free online access to their best lectures" by Andrea Ford. The article identified this one amongst many favourites. In this presentation, TED Talks Researcher Hans Rosling uses his cool data tools to show how countries are pulling themselves out of poverty. He demos Dollar Street, comparing households of varying income levels worldwide. Then he does something really amazing. See the link I have posted to the Gapminder Foundation. It is quite extraordinary.

The resources in this site will allow you to investigate all these questions and more. This link introduces the three interactive features produced by the British Library about Sacred Texts.
