Running as many as cover and ducking at the rear of it feels fast and smooth, and popping from behind a concrete filter to headshot an approaching enemy Locust allows you to feel like a boss.

The guns have a good chunky feel to them, and you get a sense of real destructive electrical power, whenever you unleash a clip in the chest of an unlucky victim. And of course that chainsaw bayonet attachment on the Lancer assault rifle makes for much blood fountain linked carving entertainment. Sure, it's not as great as a chainsword from Warhammer 40k: Space Ocean, but carving Locusts is *almost* as much fun as carving Orks (and they both taste like roasted chicken).

I've only spent very almost no time on the multiplayer. Gears is mostly a singleplayer game for people, as I have long abadndoned trying to perform to any decent level with competitive Gears multiplayer. But if you're a Equipment deathmatch junkie, then there is plenty for you with Gears of War 3, and the gameplay is as visceral and intense as ever.

I prefer the games Horde manner then, which pits you against waves of Locust together with Lambent. Fighting wave after wave of enemies, you build an income for every defeated baddie, that's used for buying patio furniture from guns and ammo, to help small mechs and resurrecting other players. It's a frantic experience and if you want to complete all levels then you're set for quite the challenge.

Oh yeah, and lets not forget which you could play the whole campaign with as much 3 other friends as well. So if you're inside multiplayer, then you are able to find a mode that you really enjoy in Gears with War 3.

General I'm really positively shocked by Gears of Warfare 3. I came into the game expecting a competent shooter which includes a throwaway story and two-dimensional characters, wrapped in some pleasing eye candy. But what I bought was a interesting story, filled with characters that were not just tough wise cracking soldiers, wrapped in extremely delightful eye candy and perfectly seasoned with shooting that feels just right.

If you are looking at Gears of War 3 and wondering if you are really in the mood for another 3rd person shooter, then please take my advice and check it out for. The world of Sera needs you.
