MNPS Virtual School Home - 2 views

Beth, look at this new virtual school founded by Scott Merrick and others
  •
Some good resources. Not enough info. It looks like it is an option for Nashville High school students, but it doesn't say High School. It doesn't say anything about a diploma or credit. All of the courses are from a virtual school in Florida. Only one or two faculty members are profiled. Online School for girls seems to have more bases covered. Very cool that Scott Merrick is a part of it!

The Tragic Death of the Flip - NYTimes.com - 0 views

  •
"The most plausible reason is that Cisco wants the technology in the Flip more than it wants the business. Cisco is, after all, in the videoconferencing business, and the Flip's video quality - for its size and price - was amazing. Maybe, in fact, that was Cisco's plan all along. Buy the beloved Flip for its technology, then shut it down and fire 550 people."

David pogue has an interesting analysis here on the flip
