  Man there is nothing more I hate than doctors that that think they are above others, here's a classic case for you, Beach Medical Imaging located at 2033 South Patrick Drive Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937 (321) 773-9898 (Give them a call tell them if you think this is Ok!!) Here the classic scenario, 3 years ago Beach Medical Imaging hires a local contractor to work on their mechanical equipment including the chillers on a mobile MRI trailer, trailer was in bad shape when they got to it 13+ years old and worn out. So just recently they have a major problem with both chillers, one is a backup and one is run for the main unit. Well when they get there they find both compressors dead due to refrigerant loss, rub outs due to aged clamps that cannot be seen from the naked eye. So the contractor does what he can for customer and finds an replacement that will work, this trailer cannot work without these chillers and this is not a common compressor!!! So the contractor pulls other trucks off current jobs to expedite the repair for this doctor at Beach Medical Imaging! Everything goes well and gets them running, almost a 5k job. First mistake the contractor makes in not collecting immediately, but has a 3 year history with no problems. So everything continues on, and then gets a call about week later on a Friday at 3pm that they are not getting cold water to a different part of the trailer. One of the owners spends close to 5 hours trying to help, chiller is working fine, and water is cold enough so that part is good. But this other particular piece of equipment was not getting water. Contractor tells customer we cannot help him, there are not familiar with other equipment on the trailer. Chillers and refrigeration equipment is what they work on, So Beach Medical Imaging would have to call someone else that works on this type of a equipment in the morning. As expected they did, but the original contractor now gets blamed for this, directly from Dr Daniel Beirne, Claims that they were supposed to know about some filter that was not part of the chiller itself. Of course it escalates, into some interesting conversations. Goes nowhere and now Dr Daniel Beirne refuse to pay close to 6k in bills. His excuse was they should have known about it, bull***t , they saw this as an opportunity! Even if Dr Daniel Beirne truly thought this, this does not give them the right to not pay for a repair that was working correctly.
  There are all types of contractors, and with all types come the good and the bad. Well this particular contractor is actually one of the good ones. Been around a long time, tries to do the right thing, do honest work at a fair price, but fact is good guys still get screwed.
