  As you may know, there are multiple different kinds and styles when it comes to racing pigeons for your attic. There are different variations in the sputnik trap but most consist of a trap, landing board, some sort of aviary. They work properly, but if money is a problem, it might not be the best option, as it has things you may not need. The trap alone works well though.
  
  Overall a stall trap works the most effective for pigeon racing in my view, there is no hesitation in the event the pigeons into the trap. I have heard multiple times that the top prize some where in England it's 20, 000 pounds! Now I realize they can go much bigger, or much more compact. I am just saying within a race winning that level, which isn't unheard of is fantastic. Now remember there are multiple races throughout every season so a lot of money can be made. Also you can sell pigeons, and equipment as well if you really need to go far with pigeon racing. There are tons with opportunities with racing pigeons.
  
  And there's so much to discover! It is not simply throwing a bowl involving food and saying eat. Racing pigeon feed is more intricate than that. You will probably need to feed different portions during different seasons, and get different nutrients for breeding season, and racing months. Just with racing pigeon feed you will find there's lot to know. Then do you know that there is several types of breeding? Cross-breeding, line mating and in- breeding. And I won't even enter into the amounts of training techniques and racing tactics that you can use to gain an gain, but as you probably get the idea, there is a lot. Even the loft that the pigeons will call home needs to contain certain aspects, which supports your pigeons health, and win races. My suggestion if you are getting into pigeon racing may be to visit some clubs, talk to experienced fanciers, and start out buying some books!
