  If you're looking for a better sitemap generator, then check out Inspyder's Sitemap Creator program. This unlimited sitemap generator is second to none, and believe me, I've tried my fair share. Sitemap Creator is a regular desktop application so you don't install anything on your server. Since using it I don't have any more problems with configuration on my server (no more out of memory errors or problems like that). The built in job scheduler makes it easy for me to refresh my sitemap files automatically.
  
  Since Sitemap Creator is a desktop tool (and it does not install on the server) it doesn't have any server side requirements. That makes using it a lot easier, and the licensing is simpler too. I have many websites on a lot of different hosts, but I can sitemap them all using this one installed copy of Sitemap Creator. Just download it to your computer and run it. (It will work with any site, it doesn't matter what backend technology that website uses. If you've got a wordpress blog or a site that uses joomla, you don't need to worry, this sitemap generator will work perfectly).
  
  The best thing about this sitemap generator is that it can handle an unlimited number of pages…yes, really unlimited. I tried it with a site that had over 500,000 URLs and it had no problems. (It took a few hours to spider the site, but that's only natural for a large site.) I configured it to use all 25 crawler threads for maximum performance.
