Working from home - if you are working for yourself only - has many advantages and you will be the best judge of what is the greatest benefit to you. Is it the ability to work intermittent hours (eg. start early, go and play golf, come back and finish off?) or is it because you have no-one breathing down your neck to get the job done? As someone who has worked from home for several years now, I can see the good and bad points of both examples above. Who wouldn't want to take a break from work when they feel like it; but don't forget if YOU ARE THE BOSS, when you take a break from it all, then the work is not going to be done by anyone else, is it?

No-one likes someone "breathing down their necks" because it makes us feel uncomfortable and under pressure. But if you have no-one to answer to but yourself, are you going to be sufficiently self-motivated to work hard and get the job done, even when no-one really cares (but you) what the end results may be?

Someone once told me to Work Smart, Not Hard. Wise words. But you really will reap what you sow and when it comes to running your own business this is never more true. Work hard at the beginning and set yourself targets; only by setting targets can you gauge whether you are reaching your goals. You should use the SMART principle: make your objectives Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timebound.

For instance, if you want to achieve 50 phone calls, you could set the objective to make 10 telephone calls a day for 5 days. This is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound. So by the end of that 5 day period you would have achieved what you set out to do ie make 50 phone calls. If you had merely said "I must make some phone calls soon" you would have nothing to measure your success (or failure).

If you really want to work Smart, you should get involved in the kind of home business that helps and supports you: the "work for yourself, but not by yourself" kind. Some people may go the franchise way. Lots of opportunities out there, with lots of support. But these are normally VERY costly and provide limited opportunities in areas available; often they will require a high street presence too (eg. Subway, or McDonald's) so they are not WORK FROM HOME opportunities, but rather WORK FOR YOURSELF ones. You are not just your own boss either, but may have to employ other staff which requires additional skills.

If you are simply looking for a home-based business opportunity, where you can choose your own hours and do not have to employ others (but can choose to introduce others into a team whereby their efforts will also help build a residual income for you over a period of time), then take a fresh look at Direct Sales.

People might want to attend your party plan for, say, jewelery or other luxury items, but this may only be out of curiosity or because they are doing you a favour as a friend (they might even feel sorry for you!) All they have done is waste your precious time and if you have no sales from the party, you may lose your incentive to try again. kleeneze jobs, kleeneze jobs, kleeneze jobs
