The first step in building the downtown streetcar line has always been to purchase the old Santa Fe train station on Broadway. The council's recent approval to begin negotiating a purchase of the train depot is a major step in beginning the streetcar line.

Oklahoma City, despite being the nation's 31st largest city, was not included on Bicycling.com's list of the top 50 cities for biking.
