I recently needed to rip a complete website to my hard drive. I wanted to download the image files, css, pages, etc. Basically a perfect offline clone that I could burn to CD or browse from my hard drive.

I tested a lot of free tools and a few commercial ones before I found Web2Disk. All I can say is "wow"! Not only was this software a breeze to use, it did an amazing job downloading the website I wanted. Web2Disk altered the links so that I could browse the pages offline. Everything pretty much worked, save for a few streaming flash files but no tool was able to get those.

The other apps I tried had wizards or weird software requirements that I didn't want to deal with. Most made only partial copies of the website or screwed up the look and feel. With Web2Disk I just plugged in the URL of the site and clicked the run button. It downloaded everything in to one folder on my computer (ready to write to CD which was awesome) and updated the site so it was usable offline. Web2Disk even fixed up the CSS and a JavaScript menu which I found.

If you require a website downloaded, I highly recommend you buy this software. It's well worth the price for the hassle it saves.
