Criticism of P21 as conspiracy of tech businesses to sell more tech. to schools. Primary criticism comes from Common Core, an advocacy group that promotes a strong liberal arts core curriculum. -
I again question whether I am reading the same article as many of the respondents. It would seem that if education had a grasp on what needed to be done they would have taken steps in that direction years ago. Creating more standards and content to be memorized is really out-dated. Having technology in schools is important as well as knowing how to use it. Problem-based learning is not new yet how many schools are really embracing a model of instruction that even resembles authentic problem solving? Could the criticism from Common Core be biased as well?

This is consistent with the observations of Mooney in Unscientific America.
