I thought this story was pretty funny also. One point mentioned in the article was the growing popularity of ebooks. I personally love reading online and don't miss roaming the stacks one bit. The only concern I have is with preserving them over time. As operating systems and software change how do you keep your books compatible for years and years? Will today's ebooks see the same fate as yesterday's cassette tapes -- remember those? -
I haven't read an ebook on anything larger than my Palm Treo, and of course online, but not on a device. I don't see anything wrong with ebooks, but I prefer a regular book.
