Endless junk mail, bills, receipts and letters....it seems that the flow of paper will never end. It's easy for your desk or dining room table to quickly become covered in papers, and that looks just plain messy. A quick tip to avoid such messes is to plan to touch each piece of paper only one time. That means that when you open a letter, you read it and then it either gets filed or thrown away. You do NOT put it on the table to put it away "later". You plan to only touch it once. This will stop the clutter, and will also save you time as you won't have to deal with the same papers over and over again. You read it and either file it or toss it.

    4. Clear it as You Go

As you complete various tasks throughout the day, clear clutter as you go. If you walk by some shoes, toys or other items that family members have left laying around, toss them into your stuff bucket instead of leaving them there. If you see items that are out of place, put them away as you go about your day. This will keep your home clutter free even as you are busy during the day, and will cut down on your end of the day picking up as you'll have kept up with it all day.

These tips are simple ways to get you started on the road to clutter free living. Start using them today and you'll be on your way to a more beautiful home!

No, I didn't make a typing mistake. I wrote that paragraph the way it is for a reason. Reading it probably annoys you because there aren't any spaces between the words. Many of you live your lives that way: without any room to breathe. You rush off here and there on the constant quest to cram one more thing into each day. To check just one more thing off your To-Do list. To get that one more thing done! When you are stressed your tendency is to go for it to push harder, to do more. But does it work? Well maybe for a while. But...What if you could bring clients in the door simply by cleaning out your car or office? Or bring more money into your life by handling the "To do's" you've been putting off?

Clutter will not only cause you to waste valuable time searching for what you need, it will stop you from thinking clearly and drain your energy. Clutter isn't only physical. Mental and emotional clutter can keep you from doing what you really want to do. Clutter can be the things in your life, big and small, that are left undone or incomplete. Things that you put up with; procrastinate about, or complain about. Things on your mental "to do" list distract you, make you feel guilty and take bits of you energy - the very energy that you need to accomplish your life goals. Like emotional constipation - clutter bogs you down, distracts your attention, and keeps you stuck! cleanup garage
