Turns are fast and interesting for any players. The trading mechanic is a key factor for that will. Many would say that the game is pretty much straight forward with not much approach involved but I think that there's much food for thought here. Players are required to make profitable trades trying to enjoy the trade more than they will help their opponents and get to decide when is the best time to harvest their own crops. Many important questions will require wise decisions. Should I harvest now and sell cheaper than maximum profit to be able to plant an alternative crop or should I wait a little longer to gain optimum profit? Should I get hold of 3rd bean field? A very positive aspect of the game is its flexibility to the quantity of players. Referring to the new edition by Rio Grande, there are actually modified rules adjusted to help 6-7, 4-5, 3 or simply two players. These rules guarantee that the game will remain playable together with fun enough regardless the quantity of players which something that in general isn't given attention and has to be praised. Overall, simplicity in the mechanics and enough intrigue could be the key of success in Bohnanza! 8/10

    Studying Curve :

Rules with the game are pretty very simple. During the first few games you might find that yourself a bit forgetful and damage with the order of cards inside your hand. The best way to handle that is never remove a card from your hand until a trade or donation may be accepted by the other player. Other than that you don't have to remember any complicated rules. The value of each bean crop is depicted over the cards, on the "beanometer" and it's rarity so you basically only have to remember the sequence of actions during your turn. 8/10

    Theme :

This game's theme is pretty simple. You are some sort of bean farmer!! You are constantly reminded of that cause all you see shared is bean cards and on the fields you see beans of the same kind planted one in the other which is close how your real farm is. All beans don't enjoy the same rarity and don't enjoy the same market value, and therefore some are rarer as compared to others, like cocoa beans that could be found only 4 circumstances in the deck and tend to be very valuable (selling only 4 of them yields 4 coins). That also connect with real market conditions. What may spoil a bit the immersion in the theme could be the strangeness of the pinto and black beans you plant! Some are really ridiculous but that's the main fun, so definitely virtually no complaints here. 7/10

    Replayability :

As i said before Bohnanza can be a game I will do not ever be bored to play. It's simple and rapidly and each game can't ever be the same with any other. You will want to help play numerous games to be able to polish your strategy and test your opinions but it all really comes down to one factor: it's entertaining, I want to enjoy again! 9/10
