We dropped some of our car off near Copenhagen, and were charged about $500 for shipping. This seemed very fair and a much better alternative than trying to loop around back to Gothenburg to drop heli-copter flight car.

After having a modest lunch promptly offered by Volvo, we were ushered to a Disneyworld like tram, for the factory tour. This was a worthwhile expenditure of an hour or so, the tour is interesting, informative and impressive. Volvo whisked our group of about 20 people across their factory, showing patio furniture from automated welding and putting your unit together, to intricate hand assembly, explaining how the vehicle moves from sheet sheet metal to finished product on the line. Once we completed this tour, we navigated without entry to a navigation system back to our hotel, minus several wrong turns some trolley traffic challenges, we could actually valet park our vehicle in the Radisson SAS, our home for 4 days and 3 days to weeks compliments of Volvo (new Volvo customers are provided with 1 night accommodation).

In the mail, we departed Gothenburg, intending south toward Malmo. The limited Garmin successfully navigated us through Welsingbord, Varborg, Lund together with into Malmo, and managed so admirably. Great sites along the route included the Varberg Castle, Helsingborg K?? rnan Tower, and Kulturen, a collection of over 30 buildings inside world's second oldest open-air museum located in Lund. It was simple to traverse this section of Sweden, the road system is excellent and the driving is straightforward. We arrived in Malmo, staying at the Renaissance Hotel part way through the old section with town, a bustling pedestrian safe center offering a cadre involving restaurants, alfresco dinning together with interesting shops, just several steps from our door. Notable sites in Malmo included Stortoget, Malmo's city center square, Malmohus Castle along with the fascinating Turning Torso Wind generator tower, the tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia. The Turning Torso is designed after a sculpture, and constructed with nine segments of five-story pentagons that twist since it rises. In Gothenburg, it was eventually loaded onto the Ocean Concert, a cargo ship made in 1984, measuring 291 meters in length and 32 meters wide, weighing in at fifty-one, 648 tons. Once loaded, I was notified with its departure, and through a web site and Google maps could track the ship's progress along the Atlantic to the docks in the shores of New Hat. It passed through customs and a few weeks later, it was parked in my garage.

    Nominal Negatives

Besides the initial navigation struggle, there were a several minor issues with this trip. One issue in connection with the routing from Boston ma to Gothenburg. Since Volvo companions with SAS (Scandinavian Aircraft), and they don't take flight from Boston, our outbound routing has been Boston to Washington to Copenhagen and then finally to Gothenburg (or we're able to have chosen New York or Chicago). This resulted in a three flight segment routing to reach in Gotherburg, whereas two would have been much better (Boston ma to Copenhagen to Gothenburg for example). Routing was luck in the draw, if you are in New York for case, you would be able to do this with one connection. Motorcycle Oil Cooper City, Amsoil New Jersey
