  and here it is. Now, you probably suspect which Orlando Weeks vocals may not be as strong as Mr Aled Jones. Well, you are right, but he uses their moody voice perfectly to create an atmospheric triumph. Brilliant!

  MONO - Trouble On the way
  
  Do you remember when Kings with Leon were 60% piece and 40% moustache? Really? They were pretty excellent weren't they? These boys are in the same neck of your woods (Nashville) since their older homies and offer a pretty good replacement for the exciting and raw 2003-era KoL stuff that has gone missing from the Followill's own music given that they started experimenting with Gillette items.
  
  They've became that (classic small gravel) southern rock sound that made KoL so popular when they first broke out, but also (singer and Joe Strummer lookalike) Nick Brown's vocals sound uncannily enjoy Caleb Followill, which should make it almost impossible to view a Mono review over the next few months without seeing a reference to Kings Of Leon incorporated. So, if you liked Youth and Young Penile, then whack this on your Christmas (download) list.

  THE BEES - Winter's Increased
  
  Recent interviews while using the The Bees over recent months has seen the band big in the "psychedelic ayahuasca plant" that they claim has broadened their horizons and is directly responsible for the following Simon-&-Garfunkel-stoned-off-their-faces-esque track. Now, we don't condone drug use at all, but we may really need a rethink after listening to this blissed out bit of gem.
  
  Winter Rose appears in the Bee's fourth album Just about every Step's a Yes, and it is an indie reggae track (hold on, don't judge it too quickly) that turns it to a hypnotic delight. The brilliance may not immediate, but give it several listens and let it intoxicate you.

  HURTS - All I'd prefer For Christmas Is Innovative Year's Day
  
  Again, this was released yesterday morning (what the nightmare were we doing?) and sees the 1980s Bros-lookalikes to push out a song that is rammed filled with Christmas cliches, but somehow manages to remain avoid being completely rubbish.
  
  And if you know your Christmas pop, then you'll know that piano and a snowy video is a key to all things Christmassy.
