  • The University of Florida Digital Collections (UFDC) is a research tool that enables a user to find unique and rare
    digitized materials held at the University of Florida (UF) and partner institutions. With UFDC, remote and local
    reserarchers can learn about holdings in a physical collection and receive open access to the online full content
    of the resource. This is a constantly growing collection of resources.


    The UFDC offers at least thirty collections grouped into several major headings including: Arts, Humanities and
    Social Sciences; Science and Technology; Maps; Florida; and World. In addition, the UFDC links to external collections
    through the Publication of Archival Library Museum Materials.

UBdigit - University at Buffalo Digital Collections - 0 views

  • University at Buffalo interdisciplinary multi-media digital collections. UBdigit collections support the research and instructional needs of the UB community. UBdigit provides centralized access to UB’s diverse inventory of legacy and teaching collections for purposes of instruction, scholarship, and archival preservation.


    UBdigit includes primarily collections of still images, but anticipates future inclusion of a variety of digital media formats, including audio, video, kinetic images, animation, virtual reality, interactive sequences and multi-media constructs.


    UBdigit is a joint project of the UB Libraries, Educational Technology Center, faculty and academic departments.

    With funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the
    UCSB Libraries have created a digital collection of nearly 7,000 cylinder
    recordings held by the Department of Special Collections. In an effort
    to bring these recordings to a wider audience, they can be freely downloaded
    or streamed online.


    On this site you will have the opportunity to find out more about the
    cylinder format, listen to thousands of musical and spoken selections
    from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and discover a little-known
    era of recorded sound. If you know what you are looking for click the search button
    to begin, or you can browse by genre or sample some of our favorite selections in the featured cylinder
    section or by listening to online streaming radio.
