Yes, I recently received several alcohol connected questions from Rebecca with fears regarding teenagers consuming alcohol, as well as the concerns that this particular culture can lead to.

First I just want to thank Rebecca, however add that this simply is my own opinion, and that also all suggestions from StopDrinkingAdvice.org is simply good beneficial counsel.

Anyway, to the first alcohol addiction related question...

Do you consider permitting a person to bring their own alcohol into night clubs is advisable? If not the reason why?

No, certainly not. The whole alcohol culture is just an excuse to make people feel that that they can't socialise without alcohol, and night clubs are generally an arena brimming with obtainable addictions, therefore I would not weaken the rules currently set up, I would put further constraints to make it more difficult to get liquor in the first place. The true concern is that too much money is made by selling alcoholic beverages, making any kind of improvements to protect people from alcohol addiction even more difficult.

Do you consider it is going to entice teens to drink a lot more?

Well sure it certainly will as the less expensive they are able to buy alcohol at the more people will end up drinking, so perhaps as has been done with cigarettes, taxes on liquor should be increased to help push up the cost of liquor. Nevertheless if we are to just concentrate on Clubs, then maybe the very first two or three drinks could be cheaper, as a way to restrict converting a social habit into an addiction to alcohol.

Do you reckon it's going to encourage a rise in unappropriate conduct for instance fighting among people while on a night out?

Now you have mentioned another component of drinking here, as we know that alcohol does lead to violence in certain people, but not in everybody. So although alcohol can bring about violence, it isn't the sole factor.

Just what advice can you give for teenagers who are purchasing their particular alcohol before entering night clubs and pubs in North East England?

My personal advice would be to understand that alcohol needs to be given a great respect, and that with all the more one drinks, the more threat they are at in getting hurt. When young adults drink, they simply need to know that they have to keep a total control over their actions, and much more essential of all, that they can get home safely.

I realize that there does exist a drinking culture in North East England, but always remember to not mix alcohol drinks, and never drink if you need to drive home. Keep alcohol under control, and enjoy the night life available without wrecking your life by simply abusing alcohol... Everything goes back to good old just being sensible!!!
