Liquefied petroleum gas (referred to as LPG, GPL, LP Gas, or liquid propane gas) is a flammable blend of hydrocarbon gases used for a fuel in heating appliances and cars. It is increasingly used for an aerosol propellant and a refrigerant, replacing chlorofluorocarbons in an attempt to reduce damage to the ozone stratum. When specifically used as a vehicle fuel it's often referred to as Autogas. LPG Conversion kit

Although automobiles are much cleaner than previously, they remain probably the mostsignificant factors in polluting of the environment. Vehicles running on Autogas generates far less of the harmful pollutants associated with traditional highway fuels that bring about environmental and health issues. Tests confirm that LPG emits 17% less carbon dioxide than petrol and 2% less than diesel, LPG is 17% better than Petrol and 2% superior to Diesel considering well to wheel Common Artemis Drive Cycle. 50% less oxides of nitrogen than petrol and 20 times fewer than diesel Excessive amounts of oxides of nitrogen can cause damage to agricultural crops. 120 times less small particle emissions than diesel vehicles. Small particle emissions (PM10) are related to health effects including increased risk
of heart and lung disease and problems such as asthma. LPG Conversion kit

An Autogas LP Gas Conversion process involves the installing of a fuel tank. The toroidal, or doughnut shaped, tank is normally situated in the spare wheel well though some vehicles require cylindrical shaped tanks, fitted in either a suitable location in the load space or underneath the vehicle, governed by space
and height clearance from the road. Using pipes, the LPG fuel tank is connected on the underside of the car to the engine bay. The pipes are then attached to the engine. The key parts are the electronic control unit (ECU), vapouriser (that is connected to the hot water system) and fuel injectors made by top rated producers. The vapouriser turns the LPG fuel from a liquid into a gas before going to the engine. The injectors are mounted near the petrol injectors. A small combined switch and LPG fuel gauge is installed inside the vehicle, usually on the dashboard. This is employed to change between two fuels and also indicates the LPG level. What motorists comment:

"LPG had been long talked about within my household as my family and I both have petrol vehicles with fairly sizeable engines. I really do more miles than her so made a decision to enquire about getting it done. I searched LP Gas Conversions High Wycombe and Amersham Motors were on the list of top. I took my car down and within the hour they had it booked in, I could not see why I had not done this sooner. Quick and very competitively priced. Consequently my wife's Audi is booked in also."
