Wikis have been used in many different ways in education. For example, for a course home page, collaborative writing projects, and micro-encyclopedias. Wikis have also been used for a variety of subjects ranging from Mathematics to Literature and for students in K12 to higher education.
What do you think the future holds for wikis in education?
The Chronicle of Higher Education's "Wired Campus" blog asks "Have Wikis Run Out of Steam?" The speculation in the main article is not very interesting, but there are many comments in which people describe their current practices and their views on Elizabeth's question.
