Ask a hundred people, 'Will you gain weight as soon as you stop smoking? ', and practically all will say, 'Yes'.

And yet..... virtually all ARE bad. If I asked people the question now, what would you say?

But before you answer, please read this informative article....... AND find out the real truth about smoking together with weight gain........ and IN THAT CASE answer.

    The Old Dedication Method

This is fundamental. Get this clear in your mind.

When you stop cigarettes, it does not mean that you have to gain weight.

There are two elements to this problem plus its important that you understand BOTH of them.

First, I need really with you......

Yes, in earlier times, people DID tend to gain weight when they gave up smoking.

But this was SINCE most people tried to give that up smoking using the old Will-Power Method alone.

That they believed that when they lost the battle, they would feel bad.

They were then told that the only way to deal with a lot of these cravings was to put up with them......... and hope that will, with time and perseverance, they would go gone.

They were advised most importantly...... to use their Willpower and FORCE themselves to never smoke.

And...... finally, they were told.... to eat snacks or nibble this and that - ANYTHING, in truth to keep them busy and their minds OFF OF smoking.

    Why eat?

Because the feeling or the 'hunger' for a cigarette is akin to the feeling you get while you are hungry.

And so, in earlier times, people ate in your terrible mistaken belief that by eating, they could satisfy their craving to get a cigarette and that it might help them keep their own minds off smoking.

But not surprisingly it didn't work.....

.... Along with the MORE the feeling came back..... the MORE they ate inside belief it could guide them.

'Your present is not dependent on your past'

So we all ought to accept that there was some validity for individuals gaining weight in the past when they tried to give up.

But that need not become the cause today.

Remember the causal agent was not giving up smoking but HOW that they went about the procedure of giving up smoking.

If you look closely at how they went about it, you'll notice that.... People ate TO NUMB their own cravings.

Remember, when you give up smoking, you too will get hold of these selfsame feeling/craving : 'I want a cigarette. '

And you will experience similar feelings as soon as you realize that you is unable to have one.

But not like the old Willpower Process, you will not eat extra to be able to ESCAPE or NUMB these kind of feelings.

    Why?

Because, as we explain in Our Course examine WELCOME and ACCEPT a lot of these feelings. You will Wish to transmute them.

These FEELINGS/CRAVINGS are generally the KEY to your success.

Please underline the following: The Old Way (Self-discipline method) was to help hate and fear a lot of these cravings to smoke.

You were told you had a big fight on your palms, that these feelings is unpleasant and overpowering.

And because the feeling you get when you want a cigarette is much like how you feel when you are hungry, of course, people believed that by eating, you could satisfy these feelings or at the least alleviate them.

But whatever you did was to for the short term block off these feelings.

By eating, you give yourself an excuse not to need to deal with and really feel a lot of these feelings.

You put off the evil day........ and began to put on the lbs!

Never forget that when you give up smoking, you will CONTINUE to have these empty, restless, insecure cravings for the first two or three weeks.....

But now, for when in your life, PERMIT yourself have these thoughts, these empty sensations in your body. Actually feel them, moment-by-moment in your body.

    CALL THEIR BLUFF!.

Positive, you will get the temptation to eat extra - to cover - to 'fill' in the feelings you believe you will be now lacking.

    These wishes are natural, normal.

They are not bad in independently. And they are ONLY TEMPORARY.

Just feel these! Yes, it takes courage not to hightail it and try to evade by eating extra.

If you ever will just have patience and stick to these feelings, you will discover ones moment of truth - that these cravings are no big deal and which you could easily handle them.

You don't have to eat to escape from their site. (to find out more regarding this process, go to some of our free course at ( http: //www. quitsmokingonline. com/ )

    I highly recommend you underline:

The belief that you automatically gain weight if you ever stop smoking is a myth.

However, there is one other issue must deal with in regard to weight gain before people proceed.

This is the second the main problem we mentioned sooner........

    Increased metabolism?

Again and again, get this clear mentally: Giving up smoking fails to automatically have to result in weight gain. And even the latest studies seem to verify this.

In a large study within the uk involving over a 500 women quitting up smoking - no clear graphic emerged.

Some women gained weight, others experienced virtually no change whatsoever while some other women actually LOST body fat!

However, in regard to the ladies who gained weight - the average gain of between 5 to help 10 pounds over a number of months was generally assigned to metabolic alterations i. orite. the change in their metabolic process.

Let's look at this carefully as a lot of people, especially women STILL employ this as an excuse not to give up smoking.

    The effects associated with smoking

To help us, let's try to understand the effects of smoking on your weight........

First of all, cigarettes DOES burn calories. Up to 200 a day if you're a heavy smoker. Thus smoking can increase your time expenditure or metabolism.

    What does this mean?

It means that when you give up cigarettes it can cause slight weight gain for many individuals (unless people take appropriate action!) because their body begins to work more efficiently and their body's metabolism slows together with food is digested more efficiently.

Is this bad news if it refers to you? No. it's not.

    Please consider this.....

An average candy bar contains more than 200 calories. If you were to stick to your regular eating habits but eat just six fewer candy bars (or equivalent calories found in some other food item) every month, you could easily stop yourself from gaining a good single pound.

    It's that easy!

All it means is actually that you'll have to figure out how to, as Kristy Farley highlights........ outsmart the pounds!

But first, get this clear in your mind again and again.

When you stop smoking and do not RUN AWAY FROM or try to help NUMB your cravings just by EATING, YOU WILL NOT GAIN WEIGHT when you stop cigarettes.

The only weight gain a number our readers should be aware of is a slight weight gain as high as 5 pounds due to the change in their metabolic rate.

However, you can EASILY even avoid that by removing the FOLLOWING SIMPLE MEASURES.......

    ...... Outsmart the Pounds!

To ward off gaining ANY extra pounds whenever you quit, follow these simple measures and improve your general health at the same time.

Remember, if you undoubtedly are a heavy smoker, smoking will assign 200 calories a day so......

To burn a predicted 200 calories used by smoking, for example, walk briskly for forty-five minutes or swim laps for half an hour each day.

Or eliminate 200 calories of food intake, and you've used in the extra calories from not smoking. What does which translate to?

    2 lite beers (220 calories)

20 regular poker chips (220 calories)

4 chocolate sandwich cookies (213 high fat calories)

2 tablespoon with butter (200 high fat calories)

2 oz. involving cheddar cheese (230 calories)

1 small to medium sized order of McDonalds fried potatoes (210 calories)

1 scorching dog and roll (two hundred and fifty calories)

2 frozen waffles (240 calories from fat)

1/2 cup macaroni and cheese (205 high fat calories)

One benefit of quitting, however is that since your body realizes some great benefits of not smoking, your energy level will increase, and you will quickly feel better physically.

A moderate increase in physical activity can keep weight gain for a minimum so..... Exercise on a daily basis.

A daily moderate workout but not just distracts you from smoking, but also helps lower tension and stress. Endorphins released in the brain during exercise actually make you feel better. Physical exercise also increases metabolism, helping you burn more calories.

Together with..... here's a great fact from the New York Times:

'The good news is that the very fear of gaining weight is also the #1 deterrent to help avoiding weight gain.

The great news is that studies show that at the least 25% of all ex - smokers so fear weight-gain they actually Lose weight once they've quit! '
