Maggie, I like uStream (because it's free) but unfortunately, it's blocked for similar reasons as Diigo is in some places.

Elluminate and Wimba provide alternative solutions that are usable but can be expensive, although I'd argue Elluminate is MORE expensive than Wimba.

Can someone recommend the best platform that will accommodate a large group of audience, allow online demo, record session, and hopefully no or minimum cost? Oh, one more - ideally the platform will support Firefox browser, not just IE. We see a few platforms ( uStreams, Elluminate) mentioned - curious what are the pros and cons...

Maggie, could we move this into a conversation? It's easier to invite folks to participate!

Sounds like a plan. I definitely think we should tag stuff "edustreams" as well. The catch will be inviting more people to this group so that more folks will know about it!

    Any suggestions for accomplishing that?

Who can share EduStreams links? - 56 views

Peggy, that's a question I hadn't thought of...thanks for bringing it up. If it's posted on uStream.tv or Elluminate, then it would seem that it IS available for general sharing and consumption. So, I'm inclined to not worry about obtaining permission for merely bookmarking it....since that's what anyone would be doing.

In a funny way, we're just bookmarking the site ; that those bookmarks are shared is after the fact. How's that for sophistry?

    With appreciation,
    Miguel

Would we need permission to post them if we are not the originators? This is such an awesome way to track and view conversations we may not have been able to participate as live events. Miguel, thanks for setting this up!

How wonderful of you to follow the postings in Twitter and post links here!

    Thanks so much!

Welcome to the EDuStreams Diigo group. The purpose of this group is to bookmark and share EDuStreams as they happen and to archive them all in ONE place.

I've added the uStreams, Elluminate sessions I'm familiar with and encourage you to add more.

Please tag them with the word "edustreams"

    With appreciation,
