Might as well add mine. Starting today...Wednesday, April 2, I will be streaming my beginning SmartBoard Class. This is a class I am giving to district staff. The class runs from 3:45 to 6:15 EST (-5 GMT) from April 2 - May 7. Channel is http://www.ustream.tv/channel/lisa-parisis-show. Download SmartBoard software first to get the most out of the class. Download can be found on smarttech.com.

Smartboard prices are dropping quickly, partly because or things like the link above, so I can't see spending money on them for the school right now.

Here is a useful link, too:

I'll add these both to the group's diigo:-)

We built one last December. It went together pretty easy, but getting the Wii remote at the right angle and managing shadows were more difficult. Much of that probably had to do with my inexperience with Smartboards. I am sure that there is a workable solution.

How did you make the L.E.D pen? Any advice?

We used a tool one of the tech guys had that looked a lot like tweezers. He taped a battery to one side small wires to each arm and the led light to the back tip. Pushing the tweezers until the ends touched turned the IR bulb on, so one click was touching once, twice was a double-click, and holding them together was a click and drag.
