This is a great website full of teacher tools and student materials. While it is a members only site (and does cost money to join) it is an extremely helpful reading resource center. The printable books ensure that all students have their own materials. The books and activities can be sorting by level, skills or topic! It even has opportunities for using things like the SMARTboard which allow for active participation by the students! I love this website for aiding me in my skills group instruction! -
Our district also uses this website, but for our special ed classes. It has really great resources!

This is a GREAT resources because it allows students to identify and record concepts that can be placed in one of the circles or in the overlapping areas, which then allows them to organize their information logically.

This site offers information about seminars and conferences, on-site training opportunities, video training and resources all dealing with innovative practices in education. Through this site you are also able to narrow your search for information to your specific grade level. Through this site I was able to find information on literacy programs and centers and things such as word walls and leveled skills groups.

United Streaming is a large online multimedia library of K-12 educational videos, video clips and images. It is a great resource teachers can use to support or extend learning on most any topic. For example, when learning about Johnny Appleseed, my students were able to watch an eight minute video clip which provided them not only knowledge about John Chapman but also images that portrayed life during this time in history.
