As a kinder teacher, I learned to not control the use of technology in the classroom. I have learned that even though my students are 5 and 6 year olds, they learn quick, and they have become expert in using the smart board, elmo and computers in the classroom. As a teacher this just makes me proud of them.

I am a Special Education teacher, I teach 3-6 year olds! I see that my students are able to use an ipad better than a computer. Due to some of the disabilities that they have. The only problem that I have is that we only have one ipad. It is hard because everyone wants to use it at the same time. This is the problem that I have, I wish I had more!! Like you said Maria, they learn quickly!! I use it to show them certain things and just by watching me they learned how to use it!! I am proud, but just upset because they only have one to use!!!!

I teach 7th and 8th grade Technology Applications/Career Portals. Integrating Web 2.0 tools such as prezi, glogter and wikis has enhanced their content and technology skills. Prior to taking the MTT courses, I was unaware of the many collaborative tools. Last year I began working with Glogster. Now, my students enjoy working in groups and collaborating with each other to complete project/assignments goals. They learned to work with Prezi, Glogster, Sliderocket and Storybird. Students take ownership about their learning by deciding which delivery method to use for their finish product.

I am a librarian at a 6th-8th grade campus. Our students are always using technology. They come in to work on Prezi, PPT, research, post projects on Edmodo, you name it. I am so impressed with their work. They are so into their technology projects that they come in at all hours, in the morning, at lunch, and even when they are done with their work. I'm so glad I'm taking these courses because I have learned so much and I can help students when they need it.

I think I could let them use more then I do know. They use it when possible, when we get library days or internet lab days. I have 4 terminals that work when they chose too, but even with that I think I could find other items that they could use. That is my ESL class, but for my journalism kids I think I let them use technology a good amount. they are always at a computer researching for their next article, while also going around the school and interviewing people with the Flip camera, or taking picture with the camera for the school paper. They have also been using publisher to design the newsletter from time to time, and working with Weebly to create a newsletter website.

I try to use technology as much as I can, but it sometimes proves difficult because the technology isn't always up and running. For the most part, we mainly use technology when we do research or focus on specific topics like the Holocaust. Now that I am becoming an MTT, I can now plan ahead so that next year I can see which technologies are effective.

I make sure technology is being used 100% of the time. Students are expected to either use Web 2.0 tools or if they have a better Web 2.0 tool they must share it with the classroom. They have access to IPads and Distance Learning Equipment. They are not limited to the type of technology they use and this includes their own devices. If their device wil allow them to succeed in the classroom then they can use it for educational use purpose. My students are expected to follow my online website which prepares them for when they start taking online college courses.
