Perhaps you have had wanted to transpose the pitch of an MP3, CD or other sound file? I have, and there's nothing more irritating than looking around to obtain a audio recording in the proper key. It often doesn't exist, and quite often you just dream it were as fast as clicking your mouse. Well, I just came across "Pitch Switch". This powerful program can be used to transpose audio files on your personal computer to virtually any key. It is easy to use, just open your MP3 file and then use the "Pitch" slider to adjust the tone. It also works while the music is playing, to help tune it by ear if you'd like. At last, a fun way to transpose files.

Pitch Switch also can customize the tempo of an audio file, so that you can reduce the tempo, that makes it quicker to learn (or speed it up, but I am not sure if you'd really want to do this or not). It keeps the key the same while changing the tempo. Truely amazing! I wish I'd discovered this earlier, this might have spared me several hours searching for tracks. I question how I ever did this without Pitch Switch. I strongly recommend you give it a look in case you are at all like me and you will want to transpose MP3s on a regular basis.
