The videos are entirely appropriate for middle and high school students. The students are encouraged to play with words,create their own vocabulary videos and upload their work to the website. Teachers may direct activities and assign word projects to the students. The Study Room allows personalized list creation and sharing. Visitors can also sign up to receive a word of the day in the email."

The work to date has been driven by many educators already actively using digital technologies to boost student learning opportunities and we hope by publishing the guidelines in this interactive format that many more people will get involved and contribute their views and knowledge on the topic.

If America wants to continue to be a world-leader, we can do it with a technology advantage - but only if we actually know how to leverage that technology to continue to be more productive.

So, I began to write out a list of the tech skills that I think students should learn before they leave college. Ideally, these are skills that would be integrated throughout K-12 and college curricula.
