SAP 's response to tough times is to downsize its products with a new modular offering called SAP Business Suite 7. The German giant is downplaying its previous "one size fits all" philosophy to allow customers to buy just the modules they need. The new offering covers familiar SAP product areas, such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and supply chain management, as well as Business Objects' business intelligence software, which SAP acquired.
