aka Julian Beever, who achieves realism on the level of Trompe-l'œil using chalk on sidewalk, with frequently humorous effect, before photographing his temporary creation. Hoping that, at some point, he'll create something permanent at ground level, building on the work he has already done in this area.

Burning Man: What is Burning Man?: 2007: Theme - 0 views

This was the art theme from 2007, the same year as that oil rig explosion. Note the emphasis on ecological awareness.

Some felt that this made for a little irony, given the carbon footprint of events like that "oil rig explosion" you saw in the last video I bookmarked. Others would disagree, some of them for reasons which you'll see toward the bottom of the page.

WARNING: While the page this link takes you to is nudity-free, the same can not be said of the rest of the site, which does document a clothing optional event. If this would offend you, please do not wander the site ahead, and consider not following this link at all, because I can't offer any guarantees that the staff of the site won't replace the currently family friendly photo in the upper right hand corner of the page with something else.

A video of a walking, eight legged vehicle. Set to the seemingly obligatory techno, so you mind want to turn the sound off.

About a minute of footage of one of the more controversial structures to have appeared at Burning Man, one constructed at a cost of a few hundred thousand dollars and which ended up appearing in a car commercial, reportedly.

WARNING: You will see a link appearing on the video inviting you to see more Burning Man footage. If you are offended by nudity, don't click on that link.
