I can go to seminary in part because with Sugarsync I can access all my work files from the ancient desktop I have at the church; all my home files from the netbook and the laptop; and get it all on the smartphone if I don't want to be lugging a laptop. Plus I was able to collaborate with a book doctor using Sugarsync. You can control access to files and folders on your machines, allow read-only, downloading or editing of files. I've also played with other services but this one was by far the easiest.

I use this on a church website to post sermons and devotions from the church I work for. It also has some social networking functions which I haven't really explored. People can also subscribe with RSS and our sermons are available in the iTunes store as well (free, but it's easy for iTunes people to sign up) -- this has been a great resource for my home congregation
