Everyone nowadays would seem to do a great deal of shopping through the web, because of this the use of bubble wrap has improved tremendously. Anyone who shops online will notice that their items will usually arrive in a version of a protective packaging, we all get for granted that this packaging will be readily available. But the amount of people actually know that origins of bubble wrap?

This transparent plastic that gets used to pack fragile items for delivery is amazing. It is a flexible plastic sheeting that is covered in hundreds of little bubbles of surroundings. Sometimes people will sit and relieve their stress simply by popping the bubbles, I know I do.

So where do bubble envelopes originate from?

It was invented in 1957 as a result of Marc Chavannes and Alfred Fielding. Like so many great inventions, the discovery of bubble wrap was found purely by accident, the pair were actually looking to invent plastic wallpaper. That they soon realized that their plastic wallpaper was some sort of flop, however all was not lost because they realized that they had invented a wonderful method to protect items being sent with the mail.

The pair of inventors soon discovered several benefits of their bubble wrap, it is very gentle, water resistant, it won't scratch the precious cargo and most importantly it appeared to be reusable. Since it was first invented there have been many advances in that size, amount etc that is available for a very reasonable price. A person can purchase bubble wrap bags in many different sizes which is usually self sealing as well, so once you have every one of your items inside it can be sealed and will keep your items safe. The bubble envelopes were such types of advances in bubble wrap.

When As i was younger my sister and I useful to fight over bubble wrap, bubble envelopes, etc; basically anything with bubble wrap on or inside was fair game. My mother would think we were mad, but would split it between us either just to stop people bickering. We would both sit for a long time quite happily popping the bubbles, I remember sitting for hours popping bubbles and would continue until I made sure just about every bubble had been popped. Even now as an adult, I still cannot ascertain what the love of popping bubble wrap is, but I still adore to do it.

So the next time you're planning to send out a fragile item to someone and you simply are a bit serious about its safety, use some bubble envelopes and you should have complete peace with mind that your items are sure to arrive at their finalized destination unharmed.
