Ann Wilson is an inspirational British female cyclist who set off in July 2009 on a Round the World Bike ride aged 59. Her cycling adventure began in 2007 when a friend inspired her by giving her the book "A bike Ride" by another amazing female cyclist Anne Mustoe. Ann was so inspired that within 24 months she had quit her job, taken in lodgers to pay the bills while she was away and embarked alone on her around the world bike tour.

But the experience can be had for a fraction of the cost by roughing it in the back of a transit van. In 2007 Luke cycled the entire route of the tour de France. The mountain cols of the Tour de France have been the scene of epic battles since the very start of the race in the early 20th Century. For amateurs riders they provide a a chance to test yourself on a battlefield with no hiding places. Riding one or two in a day is a big challenge! This cyling video is about Phil Deeker who's ambitions were just a little bit bigger. He rode 319 of them in 29 days clocking up a staggering 4580 km with 82,300 metres climbed.

Why do we punish our bodies and endanger our lives to conquer a piece of rock ? This climbing film uses some beautiful bouldering pictures taken at Kerlouan, Northern France.

Watch out Ellen MacArthur there is a new kid in town. Jessica Watson set sail on 18 October 2009 in her bid to become the youngest person to sail solo non-stop and unassisted around the world. I have enormous respect for her already. Simply getting too the start line is an staggering feat of endurance. Reading Ellen macArthur's autobiography I was struck by just how difficult it is to launch a serious ocean going expedition. The money involved, the technical difficulties and the sheer commitment that is required to drive the project forward are mind blowing.

All too often it is only when we are faced with our imminent demise do we suddenly wake up and start to appreciate the true joy of living and experiencing everything that our beautiful planet has to offer. Lori Schneider is an inspirational mountaineer who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis but didnt let it get in the way of her dream to climb the 7 summits. As she describes on her blog living and working with MS is a huge challenge but she pushes on and good for her.

He sold his possesions on Ebay and set off to experience and reach 100 goals in 100 weeks. I love this man and his concept. So simple, so fun and what a blast he is having.

Learning to surf is not easy if you are able bodied and a strong swimmer. How about when you are paralyzed, wheelchair bound and 15 years old. Patrick Ivison is a truly inspirational young man who refuses to let his disabilities get in the way. He is a child on a mission and I wish him the best of luck in his quest to walk again. This film outlines his dream to walk again.

Dave Watson oppitimises this new breed of inspirational alpine adventureres. In August 2009 he climbed to within 500 feet of the summit of K2 (bad snow conditions stopped him reaching the top) then attached skiis and took the ride of his life !
