Where can I find the list of the sites that I bookmarked most frequently?

I remembered that in Diigo version 3.0 there is a section where I can see top ten sites that I bookmarked most. But I cannot find that section in Version 4.0. Could anybody kindly tell me if that function is suspended? - Clement Chen

I'd happily pay a reasonable subscription.

Feature Request: Bookmark Quick-Delete

It would be great if clicking the "One-click save" button while on a bookmarked page deleted the bookmark. At the very least there should be a delete button in the dialog that pops up when the One-click save button is clicked.

As it is, it is unbelievably simple to save a page I want to read later, but once I'm done with it I have to go find the the bookmark to delete it. Considering how easy it is to add the bookmark, it would be great if it were just as easy to delete it.

Changing the meaning of a button could have unexpected results.

Fair enough. But the Edit dialog that comes up when the page is already saved should have a delete button. However it's done, it would be extremely helpful if there were a way I could delete unneeded bookmarks as quickly as I can add them. - Jeremy Luce
I agree, deleting should be oneclick like savin, or at least 2 inside the edit dialogue. Having to travel to a page to do this, when you don't need to do anything else, is really an odd thing to have missing. Always bugged me. - Chris R

Change Notes / Information for toolbar updates?

It would be really convenient if diigo toolbar updates for firefox included some update information, the same as almost every other extension.

I just updated to the new version, but i have no idea if anything changed. I don't know if it was a bug fix, or if next time i click "bookmark" i'll be confronted by a giant picture of a cat!

I'm not sure I follow. If you go to Tools, Add-ons, Extensions you can see the Diigo Toolbar version, as well as whether a later version is available (but see also my earlier post, link below).

But when a new version is available, I can't see any information on it. I can't see what has changed before I install it.

When you update extensions there is a "show information" button in the bottom right of the window, it tells you what you are about to change. Diigo doesn't provide this information. - soulgrind r

When you click on Install Diigo Toolbar, however, it installs Version 4.1.0.14!
When you carry out a Find Updates from the Firefox Add-Ons window, it says that "Version 4.1.0.18 is available."
When you attempt to install the update, however, it generates the following error message:

Thanks, but I'm not sure I follow. The Tools page says we should be on Version 4.1.0.18, yet it installs Version 4.1.0.14 instead. Firefox Add-Ons also seems to think there should be a Version 4.1.0.18, but the update fails with the error message above.

My question is does Version 4.1.0.18 in fact exist, and if so, why can't I seem to install/upgrade to it? - Russell Cohen

Import from Google Bookmarks has some problems

Hello, I've just imported my Google Bookmarks (google.com/bookmarks) into Diigo.
I noticed that the labels/tags I gave my bookmarks on Google Bookmarks don't all carry through. On Diigo, the bookmaks seems to have only one tag/label.

I encountered the same problem with the (forced) migration of bookmarks from Furl to Diigo. I estimate that only half of my labels made it across; I don't even know if all my bookmarks were migrated, as access to Furl had been disabled. Hello! It would be great if Diigo's Firefox add-on would have a feature allowing to browse and open bookmarks from toolbar directly. Like it is done in a defaut Bookmarks menu in Firefox browser.

The "Diigo" menu of the Diigo toolbar will require a subfolder for Tags. Opening this the user will get a list of all tags with number of bookmarks by tag. Clicking on tag will popup a menu with direct links. This will rock!

Old "FURL tags" still in tag cloud, although no bookmark is tagged with it

The FURL lists were transformed into diigo tags when I migrated from FURL. One of my lists were called "cultur & science" for example. In diigo this was transformed into 3 tags: "cultur", "&" and "science". Although I have edited the bookmarks to delete all ampersands (as you can see: http://www.diigo.com/user/bekay00/%26 ), the &-tag is still shown in the cloud... - bekay00

Then I haven't made myself clear enough. With "tag cloud" I mean the list of tags! In this list the &-tag is still listed, although (AS YOU CAN SEE) "no bookmarks tagged &". And I have deleted the ampersand tag from all bookmarks months ago... - bekay00

One Of My Lists Was Marked "(shared)"

What caused one of my lists to be marked with the word "(shared)" next to its title, I assume by Diigo because I did not mark it. The word "(shared)" next to the list title appears only in the Add To A List drop down menu for creating a bookmark. The list is marked Private and each of the bookmarks in it are also individually marked Private. Bookmarks Marked Private Appear Under The Public Heading

When I create a bookmark by highlighting text on a web page, I mark it Private but it still appears under the Public heading in My Library. I then have to go into the Public heading and mark the bookmark Private again. Sometimes for some reason, i can't even change the hotkeys assigned for the toolbar.
Perhaps you should try installing your first toolbar for Firefox! Hey!
You know, you can pretty well manipulate it the way you want it to look.
Just go to "customize".
I've set many parts of the toolbar to the top of my browser.
This way, i keep more viewing room to surf.

Chrome Extension

I noticed that you updated the Chrome extension page with a new note about functionality. I just wanted to add a couple of thoughts as you are thinking about changes to the current extension.

I know a lot of people are asking for a toolbar, and that toolbars are not an option in Chrome. Hopefully, you can think about the functionality that you want to bring directly into Chrome and develop a new UI that does not rely on a toolbar. On a related note I am sure it is enticing to wait for some sort of sidebar control to replicate that functionality from IE/FF, but I hope you don't.

IMHO, Chrome is a different type of browser, very minimal and you need to think about your extension in terms of that minimalism. Toolbars ands sidebars just don't fit into what Chrome offers.

With that said:

1. Consider an overlay like the Bit.ly extension has. This would be especially nice if you could find a way to collapse it.

2. Try and bring in the core functionality and skip the rest. While the toolbar does many things, the extension really just needs to provide a way to a) bookmark, b) annotate and c) review markups & meta info.

3. Add something new. Would be awesome to see HTML 5 or Google Gears implemented somehow with the new extension. Something that could set it apart from the other browsers.

4. Integrate with the rest of Chrome. Can you integrate with bookmarks and bookmark sync? Can Diigo be enhanced with the Omnibar? - Sean Brady

I have been thinking about it. I think th emost obvious thing would be the ability to sync bookmarks, and annotations offline. I am not sure there is much value in it though. I have been poking around the Chromium site looking for inspiration. - Sean Brady

I think that in Diigo 3 beta there was a checkbox. It seems to be missing from Diigo 4.0 beta.
