When ever Diigo is installed the words "Remove Bookmark" from the firefox one-click bookmark star disappears, but when diigo is disabled it re-appears. any plans on fixing this?

Its great that diigo can save bookmarks to your browsers bookmark folder. In the instance of Firefox, however, diigo's way of saving creates a problem. When diigo saves a bookmark back to Firefox, it creates a bookmark for each tag associated to the bookmark. So if I have monster.com with tags career, job, job-board, advice; Then in Firefox it creates monster.com in a folder based on the number tags. So instead of just one monster.com, we have 4. This creates an issue with the places.sqlite file. Over time if a user like me has over 3,000 bookmarks it causes firefox to lag due to loading up the bookmarks, not to mention that it causes the file size also to be larger.

So my sugesstion is when diigo saves bookmarks to Firefox it does it in the same way as if a user saves a bookmark with just those tags. The bookmark itself would be saved in the unsorted bookmarks folder. This way there is only one bookmark.

When the Diigo Sidebar is open the first thing you should see to start is the "My Library" tab. This shows a list of your links and last post time. That is all it shows. What I am suggesting is after the link it has an edit, delete, meta, comment, etc. and when clicked popup window appears. to edit or make comments. Basically resembles the view that is on the website when in the edit or browse mode. I have also suggested a tag cloud for this view so you have easier access to what tags you have. I am sure not everyone can remember all there tags.

How are u suppose to easily clear the tag search box? The X is nice but it only appears when you click the search box. I am thinking there should be a setting for automatic clear or like any other search bar when you click the inside all is selected and when you type it overwrites what was previously there!

IDEA | Meta Page - 3 views

diigo meata-page suggestion toolbar meta
  • Richard Lloyd

I would like to see some other kind of implementation with Diigo Meta Page. I almost in away would love to have my url bar replaced with one that when I type in an address it takes me directly to the diigo meta page on it or at least a button for the toolbar that when clicked takes you to the meta page, similar to ie tab. Another implementation would be a Meata link, right along with comment, like snapshot, etc. on the diigo site.

I am actually tempted to change all my urls in my bookmarks with the prefix for the meta so when clicked it takes you to the meta page.

To make another change to this is the Meta Page link/button next to the title of the bookmark on diigo rather than with the comment, like, snapshot, etc
