Try the menu option to hide highlights. This probably hides floating sticky notes as well as highlights.

Hi Swaan, The bug was a huge mistake. We tried to hack some firefox new features and forgot to comment it out in the release version.
Oh, we will try to fix the bug. BTW, you can also uninstall the toolbar from Firefox ==>Tools ===>Add-ons.
