Get feedback with Backboard - 1 views

  •
Backboard automates the process of getting feedback and approval on all your projects-it can handle almost any type of file, but it's especially good with mixed graphical and text media. It only takes a minute to start a Backboard. Upload the file you would like feedback on, choose a security level, and select the email addresses of one or more reviewers. Each reviewer will receive a link to your file, where they can come and leave feedback on your document. Every kind of document can be annotated and marked up in the same way, so reviewers do not have to learn several commenting systems. Better yet, you can view all reviewers' feedback in the same place, so you'll never again find yourself merging several documents with different "tracked changes." via http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/2008/12/18/best-applications-for-annotating-websites/

LiveBinders - Organize your resources in an online binder - 34 views

  •
LiveBinders is dedicated to helping you empower others with the information you work hard to collect. If you're like us, you've used 'creative' tactics to keep track of all your links either through email, word documents or endless lists in your browser bookmarks folder. It's hard to put a group of links together in any meaningful format. And sharing a group of URLs is cumbersome for everyone - the sender and the receiver. Have you ever looked through your bookmarks list and forgotten what they are all for? We created LiveBinders so that you could do with digital information what you do with the papers on your desk - organize them into nice containers - like 3-ring binders on your shelf. With our online-binders you can also upload your documents and easily combine them with your links in a neat and organized way. We welcome you to create as many livebinders as you need to help organize the stuff you collect and share on the Web. Thank you Teachers We have been delighted that teachers are using livebinders as a way to communicate with parents, students, and each other. We could not have done it without the feedback from our launch, and hope LiveBinders will continue to make your digital life easier. We're still fixing bugs and adding features so please keep that feedback coming! Let us know at feedback@livebinders.com. Thanks for your help!

If you are not using Kaizena (formerly Voice Comments) to provide feedback to your students via GAFE. My students truly appreciate the audio along with the highlights pointing out the improvements. As a side note, be careful highlighting different locations as you record. When you go to highlight additional areas the audio recording will start over again.

The rewards of highly collaborative teams - The Learner's Way - 0 views

  •
Not that long ago I was a writer of interesting and engaging educational programmes. Fortunately, that is no longer the case. The programmes that I wrote and shared with a team of teachers were generally well accepted and the feedback offered was always politely positive. I enjoyed writing these programmes but in recent times I have enjoyed even more stepping away from this process and in doing so empowering the team of teachers that I learn with. The programmes that this team produces far exceed the quality I could ever have hoped to produce but more importantly the students are benefiting from their experience of highly engaged and thus engaging teachers.

  •
Freedom's Ring is Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, animated. Here you can compare the written and spoken speech, explore multimedia images, listen to movement activists, and uncover historical context. Fifty years ago, as the culminating address of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, King demanded the riches of freedom and the security of justice. Today, his language of love, nonviolent direct action, and redemptive suffering resonates globally in the millions who stand up for freedom together and elevate democracy to its ideals. How do the echoes of King's Dream live within you?
