Summer camp for teachers

VocabularySpellingCity has a new summer word study program that allows children to sharpen academic skills as they play. These simple assignments are a daily workout for the brain, building literacy skills such as vocabulary, spelling, and writing.

A fun flowchart, for teachers and students, to keep up the reading during the summer and even the school year. Targeted to high school students, but advanced middle school readers could use it as well.

I think this is a dilemma that many professional educators face. Do we get away from all things school-related for the summer? Or should we stay connected to and continue to develop our personal learning networks and nurture our professional growth?
