i would like to be able to easily add members of my groups as friends.. i'll never import my address book to social networking sites...

You can go to profiles of your group members and click Friend request there.

that's what i did.. yes.. i needed to say that..
but what i would like to have is to send more invitations in once...

yes - on our to-do
