Hello guys, i was just updating my blog and found the linkroll i put on isn't working at all. I made sure that i copied and pasted the code and even tested my blog on firefox and IE but it just disapeared. Have anyone run into the identical issue?

We were making some backend server upgrade and temporarily interrupted the linkroll support.

Can you please check and verify? Thanks

Hey, is there any chance that in the future that we will get some notification when you're going to shut this down for a day or two? Your blog would be a great place to do updates on outages like this.

My linkroll still hasn't appeared for today, but I'm hoping by tomorrow you'll have things ironed out. If not, you'll hear from me here again.

    Thanks!

OK, I was hoping you'd have it working by today, but alas, no.

Any word on when the linkroll will be working again? My last bookmarks post was 4/27/07, so I think I've been sufficiently patient.

After going through your disastrous last major update where you had major glitches and no communication with your users though, I have to wonder if this is simply how you plan to treat your users. If it's not working by tomorrow, I expect I'll go back to just using del.icio.us. Your last major upgrade means that you don't have any goodwill left from your users; if things are going wrong you have to communicate with us about what's going on if you want us to trust you again.

Please provide a straight answer on when you expect to have linkrolls working again, or let me know that I should switch to another service.

    Christy,

Thanks for letting us know. We thought the linkroll has already been enabled (as Ian also confirmed). With your latest message, upon further testing, yes, we discovered a new bug introduced by the upgrade that we weren't aware of. It should be fixed now. Please confirm.

While we always try to do as much internal testing as possible, we are striving to continue doing even better in avoiding introducing new bugs while rolling out new features & upgrades as much as we can. However, please do note that Diigo system is quite complex compared with other services. If you're ever involved with software development yourself, then you would appreciate the level of complexity involved here, and the countless hours and enormous amount of effort behind supporting a service like ours. Having "new bugs" sometimes is often part of software development process (thus, the term "beta") and it means that it's being actively worked on. We hate to cause any inconvenience to our users and hate bugs more than anything else, and our engineering team takes great joy and pride in "squashing" them.

We do appreciate our users' help to alert us of any issues that they notice. We have always tried our best to be responsive - don't see many other services out there as diligent as we are in responding to their users like we do. Please look around, and also check out our old and current user forums to see how we interact with our users.

del.cio.us and other services don't provide the same caliber and comprehensiveness of features as Diigo do. And there are lots more to come.

    Sincerely,

    The Diigo Team
