We've received words that some users are experiencing some problem importing bookmarks from delicious to diigo. The problem is actually not on the diigo's end, but their unfriendly time-out.

We're working on an alternative solution. Hope to have it ready very soon.

Thanks for your patience and continued support.

    Like to clarify once more:

Since the "Get all bookmarks" API from del.icio.us impose frequency limits, if many users are trying to access their import API at once, then your import request may be denied by delicious and fail to complete.

If you experience difficulty, you can either try again at a later time. Or, in a few more days (or sooner) we will soon have an alternative method (ie. export then import to diigo) to assist everyone with a successful import. So stay tuned!

Another FYI: our current delicious import reverses the date sequence. We will make the correction the same time and for those who have previously imported from delicious. You can simply re-import and those data will be overridden.

More info to come shortly. thanks for your patience.

    Little Wonder
I've tried to import my delicious bookmark a handful times over the last days with no success.

If its a timeout issue on their side could you not look into importing in chunks, rather than the whole list?

Let us know when this feature works :)

A new method will be available shortly. Please stay tuned.

the import seems to be working, but i have a question: is this a one time import or is it a permanent feed from delicious?

if i add new tags to delicious, will have to re import them to diigo or will the automatically flow into diigo?

    BTW, great service, great product!

they have this service that "synchs" Del.icio.us, Ma.gnolia and Simpy when you add to Diigo. see this link:

Yeah, this feature was the deal breaker for me.

Quick question, if bookmarks are updated (say with new tags or descriptions) does this carry over to other services as well?

Import worked spendidly. Only one thing. It seems that the tags from my Del.icio.us marks did not transfer over to my overall tags in Diigo. Should I not have expected this?

Many bookmarks were imported, the system needs some time to produce the whole tag cloud. Don't worry about it.

A user created this very helpful tip "Allowing Diigo to Play Nice with del.icio.us" http://docs.google.com/View?docid=ahjrstnd78fn_138bzzxsdp

We have just added the link to our HELP file http://help.diigo.com/ (see bottom)

    Check it out
