Every time I start up Firefox, I have to click on My Bookmarks, Edit Filter, and then change the settings so I can see my bookmarks. Is there some setting somewhere so I don't have to keep doing this over and over again? Thanks!

In the edit filter, Who ===>My Tags ===> Leave it as empty , Choose "Retrieve as default". Then, every time you open FF, diigo toolbar will retrieve your latest bookmarks. If in the Tags filed, you input your tags, it will retrieve bookmarks under those tags.
