I can't get the separate categories from customized search to show up on my toolbar. I go to customize search, check the box, and then click save, and yet it's still not showing up! Is there a way to fix this?
It hasnt worked since the v3 update.
I mentioned it back then, but its not a huge issue for me so I haven't chased up on it. It would be useful though, especially as about 70% of the toolbar is a waste of space at the moment.

Meanwhile, here is a work-around: finish customize and save. Then restart your FF browser. It should work then.
Also, here are some tips on how to customize the Diigo toolbar to save your desktop space
I have restarted my Firefox several times since I have saved my customizations--the buttons are still not there. :( Do I need to do something special, or what?

Sign out, then sign in diigo again.
That doesn't work either. I don't mind waiting till it's fixed or anything, just wanted to let you know that the workarounds aren't working.
