I don't like the ads on Diigo. It's clear to me, that you have to make money, but the large ads in the sidebar are terrible.
I remember Joel mentioning "advanced features" in one thread and i wonder if you will start offering paid Pro accounts. I'd be willing to pay $ 20 - $ 25 per year for even more features and if ads were disabled then.
I would consider paying 25 a year for the existing features and no ads. They are very annoying.

We're experimenting with ad placements / locations to achieve a good balance. A paid premium version without ads will be available as alternative.
We do appreciate everyone's kind support, so that we can continue making diigo better and better!
I think that the ads became much more noticeable in the past week or so. I have only used Diigo for about 3 weeks, and I don't think i really noticed them until a recent change. Its like they went from the relatively unobtrusive text ads to the brightly colored picture ads.
