I've tried a couple times importing my Ma.gnolia bookmarks, but everytime without any result.
I get the status of the import action, but it never goes father then the first bar you immediatly see.
after 10-15 minutes, I get a refresh of the page & I just see my bookmarks on diigo.
Is this a known issue ?
Is it because I want to import around 2000 bookmarks ?
is their another way to get my ma.gnolia bookmarks in here ?

Ma.gnolia.com may change its API.
You can work around by
1) Export ma.gnolia.com bookmarks and import them to your FF/IE
2) Go to Diigo toolar ===>Diigo button ===> Import my bookmarks.
I tried that, but it doesn't import bookmark tags in Firefox, neither IE.
now I have an html file, outputted from ma.gnolia that contains those tags- A List Apart: Articles: Sign Up Forms Must Die
- a good round up of when to make people fill in a form before having a full account on your website - gradual engagement
. Is there a way to directly get those bookmarks with tags into it.
I usually give +7 tags for each bookmark.
We are developing a importing from file feature. Hopefully, you can use this feature 2 weeks later.
If you want I can send you my ma.gnolia bookmarks file, so you may beta test it on me.
I really like this concept & site, but as long as I don't get all my hard work in it, I'll hardly use it.
One of the main advantages of this platform is that it simultaneously let's you save a bookmark to diig & magnolia. This really made me choose to try it out.

I just wanted to voice the statement that I desperately need my ma.gnolia info imported into diigo for there to be any real thought of switching services, I like the look of what you have done, however if I can't import I'll just continue to use what I have. I just sent an email on the Contact Page to the same effect, PLEASE FIX IMPORTING. Why for several days now there has been a "temporarily unavailable because of a problem with the delicious api" on the import page I don't know.

If you failed to import ma.gnolia.com bookmarks though API, you can do the following steps:
1) Export Ma.gnolia.com bookmarks to a file
2) Upload the file at the bottom part of this page http://www.diigo.com/tools/import_all

if you're talking about the plain 'export magnolia bookmarks' link on magnolia, then it would leave me with no tags and privacy settings, so that's not an option.

It contains your tags which can be seen in the source file.
You can import the file to diigo.

On the positive side, though, I think magnolia import has just worked for me ;-)

Just FYI: the import seems to have problems with " Perhaps some other entities too.
We will look into it. Could you tell me the bookmark which was failed to be imported? Thanks.
Joel, not anymore, but the " was in the title, I believe, not in the URL. And it was imported with " instead of ". So I'd guess any bookmark with " in title should do for reproducing.
