I am new to Diigo, today in fact with the new release. I have added a few bookmarks to my list, but when I search (not for tags but full search) for something that is obviously there it returns no results. Is there currently an issue with the search functionality?

there was probably a delay in indexing the pages

Good to know! This is the first I've heard that there is some time delay in the indexing for searches, though I suspected it. Please point me to any help pages (if you have any) that explain the delays we might hit. Thanks!

I have the same problem and it is continous for any search (and has been for many days at least) - full or bookmark only. When you search for anything once, you have to search for it once more for it to give results. This is very annoying and I hope the diigo-team will fix this. However, you can avoid this timeconsuming double-search by using the diigo-search tool and make it search bookmarks - it then returns fidings for every first search - like any other searching tool in the world. :-)

I have the same problem and I would be interested in learning how much of a lag I would have to expect. Searching for tags works perfectly fine, but full search keeps returning no results.

    Many thanks!
    Dylan.

full-text search delay is typically just less a minute or so, rarely more than a few hours. so something is wrong with you encountered. please describe in greater detail what are you searching so we can reproduce the bug.

Ok., thanks for your quick reply. Here's the problem in some more detail:

In Firefox I open the sidebar from the diigo toolbar. On the "My bookmarks" tab I select "Tags" (the default option there), perform a search for a tag I am using and all the corect result show up. Then I select "Search" instead of "Tags" and search for the same word and no result shows up. Actually I can search for whatever I want (e.g. titles of my bookmarks instead of tags etc.), there are never any results.

The same happens when I use the "advanced search"on the web site. There are always "no results". I can even enter a tag I use (e.g. "gtd") in the "tag" field of the advanced search and still get no result, even though the correct results are displayed when I perform a simple tag search for the same tag.

    Hope that was clear.
Account created today, Firefox 2.0.0.13, Win XP SP2.

    Many thanks!
    Dylan
