I'm connected via mobile phone over GPRS, and do most of my reading while offline.
I've just discovered that all the pages I've bookmarked and the text that I've highlighted were NOT saved to my diigo account.
i first thought that it happend because I closed the firefox tab where I was reading and diigo-ing , but the problem persists even if I keep the tab open.

a related problem is that after I highlight text and enter the title and tags in the window that appears, when I want to highlight text again, it is not highlighted.
I need to press the diigo button to bring up the diigo window, press submit or close, and only then I can highlight.

i've installed the latest version, but no luck.
the problems are even bigger -
some bookmarks are not saved even when being constantly online
some highlights are saved while others are lost.
sometimes the title and tags of the bookmark default to the title of the page and blank tags
even when I press "submit and close" and get a "bookmark saved" notification, sometimes it isn't !

    maggie ? oliver ? anyone ?

    Oh, this sounds very serious.
Did you experience the same problem when you were connected through other connection methods?
We will try the GPRS way to see what happened.

    hi joel ,

I only connect via gprs, but I don't think that the network layer has ( or should have ) anything to do with the application layer.

can you reproduce the problem over normal network ?
    it's basically:
    - disconnect from network
    - highlight and bookmark a page you had previously opened in your browser
    - - reconnect to network
    - reload the page - bookmark lost together with tags, highlights, comments, etc.

I also lost bookmarks and highlights in open pages when my mozilla browser crashed.

it's a bit frustrating. there's this one page which I've highlighted 3 times, and always some of my later highlights are lost.

on a related note, diigo website is very very slow to load compared to all other websites that I access.
maybe this is part of the problem ?

    thanks,

    e.

    hi joel,

connecting from an island in south thailand.

average ping is around 1 second
I actually get similar times for other websites, such as google.com

hope you get this issue solved soon.

    thanks !

    e.
