Almost nothing identifies a person as a technoob (that’s my term for someone who’s new to or otherwise clueless about technology) more quickly than sending out batch emails with everyone’s address plainly visible to every recipient. Why is this a problem? In some cases it’s not, but in many cases people would rather not have you broadcast their email addresses hither and yon.
"I have being paid $50,000.00 in advance to terminate you"
Wow. Who would be fooled by this? Apparently some people are taking this email seriously even though it should be obvious to anyone that it's a scam. It stands to reason that if Internet bandits are doing it, it's probably working on the least Internet-savvy among us.
